The excursion to the Straussee is well worth it. Whether with the family and prams or with friends and beer. On the Uferweg you can see the most diverse visitors, who all obviously have a good time. From the outdoor pool to the diving school to the relaxed sunbathing area with a fine sandy shore, everything is here.

The Straussee is an ice-age channel lake located near the town of Strausberg named after him in the Brandenburg district of Märkisch-Oderland. It is about 30 km north-east of Berlin in the wooded and lake-rich landscape of eastern Barnim.

The lake has an extension from northeast to southwest of about 3.8 km and is up to 340 m wide. Approximately in the middle of the lake it is crossed by the electrically operated Straussee ferry. In addition to the local residents, the lake is mainly used by the population of nearby Berlin for local recreation. There is a public swimming pool and several free accesses for bathing. There is also the possibility to rent boats and a diving center.
