... on the surrounding mountains in autumn near Hinterthal. On a short hike to the Hochmaisalm, about halfway from the valley station of the mountain railway to the Hochmaisalm, you have a magnificent view of the Hochkönig massif. The ascent is easy to do and technically not particularly demanding, but it takes a little longer. Up on the Alm you will be rewarded with a great all-round view of the surrounding mountains - highly recommended. But be careful: note the opening times in autumn!

Great panoramic trail over the ski slope to the Hochmaisalm. There are always plenty of benches along the way to enjoy the view. Highly recommended!
