Very nice castle that can only be visited by appointment, a real shame

Beautiful church, maintained and often open. There is an altar of Saint Lawrence, martyr of Rome who was grilled over the fire, and who made him the patron saint of barbecues. Everything good brings glory to God! ;)

Built on a promontory, the village of Saint-Martin-de-Pallières offers superb views of the Durance plain. Narrow streets, stone houses, remarkable plane trees... it is a place full of charm. You will find there a grocery store and a Bistrot de Pays.

This castle dates from the 13th century. In the 15th century, it was bought by a private individual, Pierre de Laurens. It is his descendants who manage the property today. Nowadays, the castle serves as a gîte and bed and breakfast. The castle park covers 14 hectares and is open to the public.
