There are two options: starting in Wenningstedt or Kampen. My experience: starting in the morning from Kampen and taking the path along the sea. The alternative is starting in the evening from Wenningstedt and enjoying the sunset from the top of the paths.

The paths in the Braderup Heath either lead to the mudflats or run parallel to them. In the morning at sunrise, you can walk through atmospheric scenery on all paths.

The Quermarkenfeuer lighthouse has long since been disused. Those who wish to visit it can reach it via a staircase or a gentle climb. The view is magnificent – the North Sea and the mudflats frame the heathland.
