The port of the city of Husum is divided into two areas: the inner port and the outer port. While the inner port in the city center is only used for pleasure boats, the outer port of Husum, operated by the State Agency for Coastal Protection, National Park and Marine Conservation Schleswig-Holstein (LKN.SH), is the commercially used part of the port. The Nordfriesland Museum Nissenhaus Husum is the central museum for the district of Nordfriesland and the city of Husum. It is located in the Ludwig Nissen House, a building that was transferred to the city of Husum from Ludwig Nissen's estate. Open daily except Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
