Sept. 2024: The path east of the Großensee is rather unattractive for cycling (depressions, forest floor, partly muddy). Unfortunately, there are hardly any benches to take a break on, and there are only a few places where you can see the Großensee.

I also have to agree with ThomKie: practically all dogs that come towards you are not on a lead, even though the Billetal is a nature reserve. Free running dogs are not prohibited here for good reason and bathing in the river anyway!

A very convenient starting point for exploring the Bille Valley is the "Doktorbrücke" (Doctor's Bridge). From the A24, take the Witzhave exit and you'll reach Ohe. In the village, turn left onto "Sachsenwaldau" and continue to the second parking area. From here, you can quickly reach the bridge and the Bille hiking trail. Heading south, you'll reach the Fürstenbrücke (Prince's Bridge) (the first parking area in the village).
