Lucheux is a pretty village in the Somme. It was an imposing seigneury from the 12th century and remains the only town in Picardy to keep the three symbolic buildings of French medieval society: the castle, the belfry and the church. It deserves to be included in one of your cycling or hiking trips.

The place is beautiful, but it is better to stop elsewhere than in this 12th century mill for a taste. The restaurateurs are unfriendly, and the service is terrible: it's expensive, and not good. On the other hand: very pretty body of water, with terrace, it's magnificent! It is enough to pass there by bicycle ... and not to pray that the mill falls into the hands of more commercial owners.
