The Königsteich is located in the north of the city. A footpath and walking path leads around it and you can find beautiful fishing spots all around the pond. If you want to indulge in your passion in peace and not be constantly pelted with bread, don't sit directly in front of the adjacent retirement home but choose a more hidden spot in one of the existing bays, mostly covered with willows. The hiking trail to the left of the Trave begins in Oldesloe and ends after just 4km at the level of the Kneeden. There is no other route so close along the Trave to Lübeck.
