The stone was pulled centimeter by centimeter up the slope on roped planks and erected using a hand winch. The design was completed with further small boulders and a planting. After much had been destroyed by the hands of the wicked, it was redesigned in 1933. After renewed devastation in 1977, a concrete foundation was made and the lower part of the stone laid in the ground. Since then no wicked hand has touched him. The Donner Heimat- und Mühlenverein e.V. took over the care of the Bismarck stone in 2002.
