Here you can still see the traces of the division of Germany. A visit to the small museum in Böckwitz and the former border guards, about 1 km away in the direction of Kaiserwinkel, is recommended.

There is a border and agriculture museum in the town, where the history of the twin village is presented in an exhibition. The museum is open from April to October on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. But you can also contact the border museum team outside of opening hours.
