The lido is located on the eastern shore. A large facility with all the necessary infrastructure: changing rooms, restaurants, and playgrounds. A beautiful spot, especially in the evenings with sunset over the water.

Gustav Nagel (1874–1952) was a well-known nature lover, itinerant preacher, and life reformer who worked at Lake Arendsee in Saxony-Anhalt. On the site named after him, the "Gustav Nagel Area," he erected several buildings, including a lakeside temple and a spa hall.

It is one of the oldest half-timbered houses in Salzwedel, dating back to the 15th century.

The city center is characterized by medieval architecture, half-timbered houses in picturesque cobbled streets and magnificent brick churches. Imposing town houses testify to the city's wealth.

The building was built around 1509. Until 1713 it served as the Old Town Hall, and in 1855 it became the District Court.
