Man oh man, nuclear missiles were stationed very close to us from 1984 onwards in the forest near Königsbrück and near Uhyst. It's just a good thing that Gorbachev was there at the time and, with prudence and understanding, made the first real disarmament of the Cold War possible just three years later.
