Great – like the Little Saxon Switzerland ;-) definitely worth a trip

The Andreas Fountain is located in the southwestern part of the market square. It is probably one of the oldest fountains in the city and has a depth of approximately 10.80 m and a diameter of approximately 2 m. With a water depth of approximately 7 m measured in 2004, this corresponds to a water capacity of approximately 22 m³. Dr. Andreas Günter, once mayor of Kamenz, had the fountain built at his own expense in 1570 out of love for his hometown. As the name suggests: a very long bench. The view is also good. It's a good place to take a break.

A simple and very tidy marketplace.

The idea is so simple, the result is so magnificent. Resting here is always a special experience. In addition to the uniqueness of the long bench, there is also a beautiful view from the rest area.

You can really let it run on this section of the Black Elster Cycle Path. The topping is great and really puts you in a good mood!

Very nice and not strenuous hike. The Hutberg Park is particularly worth seeing.

In 1570 the then mayor of Kamenz, Dr. Andreas Günther, decorate this fountain out of love for his home town. He is a real gem for today's marketplace. Another beautiful sight on Martplatz is the town hall.
