The Purschenstein Bird Wedding came about by chance. Professor Gerd Kaden from Neuhausen was offered a roughly 200-year-old spruce tree from the Rabenau Valley. He designed the figures of the Bird Wedding from this single trunk. The dam is secured with gates, but the doors are not locked. From the dam wall, you have a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.

Very friendly service. The food was delicious and plentiful for the price.

The 150-meter-long barefoot path ends in the Kneipp pool. A sensual treat for sore feet and the circulation. Nearby is the Waldhotel Kreuztanne with its restaurant, which also serves in the beer garden in summer.
