Im Wald von Eawy wurde während des Zweiten Weltkrieges vom deutschen Militär eine V1-Abschussbasis errichtet. Auf dem frei zugänglichen und als Mahnmal gestalteten Gelände befinden sich u. a. mehrere teilrestaurierte Gebäude (Unterstände, Werkstätten, Einmannbunker) und eine Abschussrampe. Tafeln in französischer, englischer und deutscher Sprache erläutern den Ort, der in einem Rundgang erschlossen werden kann.

The church of Ardouval is a charming religious building nestled in the heart of the Normandy countryside. Founded by the monks of the Abbey of Bonport in Pont-de-l'Arche, it was ravaged by a fire in 1732. Despite a reconstruction, at the beginning of the 19th century it was on the verge of ruin. It was in 1806 that Mr Auvray and Mr Legris undertook a real rebuilding of the church. Then, in 1876 and 1881, major work on the framework and roof repairs were carried out.

The Eawy Forest is one of the largest and oldest forests in the region. It covers approximately 7,000 hectares and is part of the vast Normandy forest massif. This forest is best known for its majestic beech groves, sometimes centuries-old beech trees that dominate the landscape. It is home to a wide variety of fauna and flora, offering an environment conducive to walks, hikes and discoveries.

The Limousins alley is the work of Gabriel de Limoges. The latter crosses the Eawy forest for 14 km from Maucomble to Muchedent. According to the archives of the National Forestry Office, it took its name from the Sapeurs de l’Empire, originally from Limousin. They are said to have cut through the alley around 1811 on the occasion of the planting of the Jardin du Roi de Rome in Ventes-Saint-Rémy in honour of the son of Napoleon I.

This magnificent 7,000 ha Pays de Bray forest is one of the largest beech forests in France. In all seasons, it offers magnificent panoramas and colors ideal for walks and all nature activities. Whether on foot, by bike or on horseback, you will appreciate the magnificent beech trees, some of which are remarkable, and will probably have the chance to come across a wild animal (deer, deer, fawn, wild boar, etc.). This forest has the particularity of being crossed by the Allée des Limousins, a rectilinear breakthrough of 14 km.

The Saint Paterne pond is a typical watering hole in the Eawy forest. Vegetation proliferates there. The interest of the place is reinforced by the presence of a picnic table which will allow you to relax and enjoy the forest.
