Unkel is truly worth a visit! Not big, but incredibly cute and historically valuable! Konrad Adenauer lived here from 1935 to 1936 and the good Willi Brand from 1979 to 1992. I can highly recommend the "Gasthaus Korf" accommodation with the attached restaurant "Zur Traube". Family-run guesthouse with an incredibly good restaurant. I can't stop eating... And when I see what the other guests get, I want to eat even more... If you fancy a really good wine tavern, you should definitely make a detour to "Zum Lämmlein"! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to try out the entire culinary offering in Unkel. But I will definitely come back.
