The Saint-Denis church has several particularities: Its 12th century sculptures, which are of great artistic quality and represent scenes from daily life, the Bible and mythology. Its Romanesque portal, which is surmounted by a tympanum representing Christ in majesty. Its bell tower, which is surmounted by an octagonal spire.

Nolléval, a former place of pilgrimage, has a chapel in the hamlet of Montagny, a heritage with rural charm. The hamlet's church was destroyed in 1832. Of this building, largely from the 11th century, only the Saint-Leu chapel remains. The side that opened onto the church was then closed, a porch was built in front of the door and a bell and its bell tower were installed. This chapel is now a curiosity for tourists and hikers.

Renowned for its tall trees giving it a "cathedral" appearance, the Lyons forest is the largest beech forest in France and one of the largest beech forests in Europe. It is also the largest forest in Normandy. The 10,700 hectares of this national forest, crossed by hundreds of kilometers of trails, make it one of the most beautiful playgrounds for outdoor recreation in Normandy. Once a royal forest prized by the kings of France and the dukes of Normandy who were hunting enthusiasts, this particularly game-rich forest is still home to remarkable wildlife (OT Lyons Andelle)

The church was built in two different periods. The porch, a constituent element of a rural church, allowed non-baptized or penitent people to have access to the religious building while remaining outside the sacred space. The old framework dated from 1761, it was replaced in 2023. The rest of the church, in neo-Gothic style, was built in the second half of the 19th century.

A little-known gem in the heart of the Brayon countryside, this chapel, dedicated to Notre-Dame, is an elegant Romanesque construction in limestone rubble covered with small flat tiles. It is said to have been built by monks from England, after the conquest of William the Conqueror. The building is distinguished by its octagonal bell tower with four superimposed canopies (raised by a metal lantern) which surmounts the crossing of the transept, but especially by its horizontal ceiling composed of eight transverse beams connected by exposed joists. The discovery of surprising paintings dating from the 13th century allowed the monument to be registered as a Historic Monument. The quantity and quality of these paintings today classify it among the jewels of Upper Normandy heritage.

The old market halls of Argueil tell the story of several centuries of local life. And the entire history of the town revolves around its market halls. In the 19th century, they underwent major renovation work. But the place has been welcoming visitors for much longer. As early as the 16th century, fairs and markets were held here to punctuate the life of a rural population already very attached to its territory. The last renovation is recent. After two years, the commercial halls project was completed in 2020.

The materials of the church come from the country: flint for its chevet, brick and white stone. The choir is certainly the oldest part, and dates from the 15th and 16th centuries. During the 17th century, the south chapel and the sacristy were added and in the 18th century, the 18 m long nave. The base of the bell tower is a quadrangular tower and has a clock face located opposite the castle and representing the phases of the Moon. The Countess of Valon, owner of the castle at the time, could see the time from her window. This face is said to have been made by Abbot Lenostre, priest of Argueil and dean of Bray before the Revolution.

This building is impressive, and stands in the heart of a wooded area of 9 hectares. Built in bricks and white stones, pierced with stone windows and corbelled turrets, the Argueil manor is a true witness to 16th century Norman art. In December 2007, VVF villages Okaya bought the site to give it a new lease of life. Today, it is a seminar venue and a holiday centre for children.

This is an old mill (private). The Normanville mill was built in 1794. Until the 1970s, it was a very famous sawmill in the region. Many old people worked there or came to have wood "cut". It was also used to grind grain. Here is a video of the gardens: https://youtu.be/thgHwtzOQ7E

The church of Mesnil-Lieubray was built at various times. The oldest parts date back to the 13th century. In the 19th century, the church was annexed by a chapel on the south wall of the choir. It has a very slender bell tower which houses a bell blessed in 1849 and still rung by hand. On your way, you will appreciate pretty houses and a dovecote.
