The starting point is directly opposite the pizzeria in the center of Hatzenport. Parking is available (if you're staying at the campsite, it's about a 1km walk). The dream trail offers magnificent views of the Moselle Valley and the town of Hatzenport itself. There are some small climbing sections, but nothing too challenging. Once you've climbed from the Moselle Valley, you'll hike along beautiful meadow paths. Due to the inclines and trails, you should plan enough time and bring plenty of water. Ehrenburg Castle stands in a prominent location—strategically advantageous in medieval times. Unlike many other buildings of that era, it remains in use to this day. Parts of the complex serve as a restaurant and hotel.

Untamed paths lead through the vineyards on the steep slope of the Moselle🍇. 🪜Via ferratas provide thrills, the striking Rabenlay and Kreuzlay provide wonderful views🎨🖌 before the trail plunges into the enchanted and quiet Schrumpftal🎨🖌. The landmark of the Moselle town is the old ferry tower (foundation stone laid in 1863). The ferry service, which had been important since the 16th century, was discontinued after the Löf/Alken bridge was built in 1972 (Wikipedia).

The collegiate church combines many architectural styles. The original building was Romanesque and was extended. Inside there are altars with figurative depictions. The main altar is made of terracotta and is well worth seeing. The history of the impressive complex is interesting. The monastery garden is also worth a visit.
