The Privileged Pharmacy, built in 1730, is located in the pedestrian zone. It is well preserved and an eye-catcher. The first pharmacy was founded in Altenkirchen in 1699 and has stood in the same place ever since.

The privileged pharmacy is located in one of the oldest buildings in Altenkirchen. The house is a very well-kept and beautiful half-timbered building. The building is also a listed building and its western wall is directly connected to the 800 meter long Altenkirchen city wall.
