My "favorite bike path" when I go to Baiersdorf to the Baggersee or to Forchheim. Why? Very simple - no mountains :-) Very nicely developed bike path on both sides of (no idea - Nuremberg to Bamberg) I think even further in both directions.

Well, what can I say about the cycle path along the canal? When the canal was built in the late 60s to the late 70s, there were numerous protests (nature is being destroyed, too much habitat would be destroyed, too many animals would lose "their home") The opposite has happened - there are a huge number of fish in the canal, various insects are swarming around the edges, even the beaver has settled again in Baiersdorf (although not on the canal, but a little further on at the Baiersdorf quarry lake). The anglers are happy with the canal, The cycle path along the canal is used a lot as a destination for excursions, jogging, cycling, running, etc. ---> I see this as an absolute PLUS.
