The fortified church of St. George in the Nuremberg district of Kraftshof is one of the most important and best-preserved monuments in the Knoblauchsland region. It is considered one of the largest and most beautiful fortified churches in Germany.

View into the Indian Gorge. The Muckenbach "gorge" contains the Upper Burgsandstein geological layer. It is 150 meters long and up to 10 meters deep.

In 1933, Nuremberg's first airport was inaugurated at Marienberg (now Volkspark Marienberg). Previously, the Fürth-Nuremberg Airport in Atzenhof, inaugurated in 1918 and now defunct (from 1928: Nuremberg-Fürth Airport), served as a connecting airport. In 1943, the airport at Marienberg was destroyed. After the Second World War, the American occupying forces used the Große Straße of the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds as a temporary runway. From 1950 until the completion of the current airport in 1955, the industrial airport in Fürth, the former factory airfield of Bachmann von Blumenthal & Co. KG, served as an interim solution under the new name Nuremberg-Fürth Airport. This airport was located near today's Hardhöhe subway station, as commemorated by a small plaque in the access tunnel.

The Heroldsberger Weg leads along a very beautiful, narrow asphalt road 2km through the forest - starting approximately halfway along the route from Buchenbühl to Kalchreuth and ending in Heroldsberg at the Hundsmühle.

The bus stop with the book selection always offers a nice rest area.
