Wegberg Castle, originally a 14th-century moated castle, was eventually replaced by the current 19th-century manor house, while only a few remnants of the original structure remain, such as the gatehouse (16th/17th century) and the moats. After the castle was sold in 1869 and the land was subsequently subdivided, the remaining structures were demolished to make way for modern residential and factory buildings. The current manor house is used as a hotel and restaurant. (KI)

You can also stop off at the Wegberger Mühle. Probably just for ice cream.

Beautiful spot on the edge of the forest and next to fishing ponds. You can eat here for a small price. Very limited menu.

The “everyday people” lend it an artistic, human dimension and make the space a lively place full of identity.

The administration has done a great job of redesigning the small city park.

Very nice lake terrace with plenty of seating.
