A manageable loop, requiring no special skills. Mostly forest floor, but also gravel and asphalt. There are some muddy/slippery sections. This route is "unfortunately" also used by mountain bikers, which doesn't exactly improve the wet patches.

Very nice idea to get the children interested in hiking in a playful way.

Great art! There are sculptures along the side of the road. Definitely worth a visit 😉.

This time had a lasting impact on the young soldier. Eight information boards along the way of this approximately 12-kilometer-long path offer you a lot of information about Böll's life in the Bergisches Land. The path takes you to a number of places that were vital to Böll and his wife's survival between 1944 and 1946 and gives unique insights into the relationship between locals and billeted refugees at the time..."

Two works of art can be found here: Werner Ratering "Light and Life" (1999) Location: 'Walkweiher' biotope between the Wahnbach and Marienfelder Strasse (near the supermarket car park) Massive gate made of partly natural, partly designed cuboid sandstone rocks, the composition of which is reminiscent of ancient cult sites. A gilded semicircle sits above the rectangular passage. Werner Albrecht "Individually but together" (2006) Location: 'Walkweiher' biotope between the Wahnbach and Marienfelder Strasse (near the supermarket car park) The group of sculptures consists of three figurative representations of a man, a woman and a child, as well as the granite slab from which the three figures were cut using a water jet cutting technique. The three people, depicted in silhouette, are shown running, each individually, but together in the overall view.
