In the center of the square stands the statue of King Gustav II Adolf, the founder of the city of Gothenburg. The statue was erected in 1854 and depicts the king at the moment he established the city's location. A place worth seeing with history. Lots of small cafes and shops. The famous Pilgrimsleden hiking trail runs through here.
