The hotel and restaurant "Zum Weserdampfschiff" is located right next to the Weser Water Level Gauge House. I highly recommend the rooms and the food. The staff are super friendly, and the dining room is quaintly decorated. The most beautiful spot, however, is the beer garden, located directly on the Weser River.

Right next to it grows an old, remarkable oak tree. It's an interesting site.

It is a great experience to stay in the tree houses and the breakfast is very good

Here the men's choir has created a nice little place on the edge of the forest with a view of Schönhagen.

The adventure forest in Schönhagen was created as a project as part of Expo 2000 in Hanover and is therefore already a few years old. Nevertheless, the facility is both well-maintained and popular. And you can see that a lot of passion and creativity went into it. Some of the stations, such as the earth cave and the forest laboratory, are only accessible as part of a guided tour. You should probably do one in spring or summer.
