The oldest parts of the two-storey, medieval Margarethenkapelle in Holtensen date from the early 14th century. It used to be a fortified church. The upper floor is partially timber-framed and was formerly used as a storeroom. A square, slated turret rises from the gabled roof, topped with a pyramidal roof.
