かつてのメインタール通りがここにあり、この区間はジルバーハウス通りでした。19世紀に建設されたこの道路は、成長の遅いカエデに縁取られています。下の部分は採石場のために舗装されました。 1936年にはオストマルク通りが建設され、そのルートは現在のB303を形成し、メインタール通りの大部分を新しいルートに置き換えました。

Like most river sources, it's rather unspectacular, but if you're planning to cycle the Main cycle path anyway...

120 years ago, more than 70 spring catchments were built on over 600 hectares of land at the Ochsenkopf. Rainwater flows through a 16-kilometer-long pipe network to the waterworks in the Löchleinstal valley and from there via a 26-kilometer-long pipeline to Bayreuth, where water first arrived in 1908 – entirely without pumps. Thanks to the elevation difference of approximately 200 meters, no pumping station was necessary, which was a decisive factor in the choice of the Fichtel Mountains as the location.

The Grassemann Open-Air Museum is an information center for the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park and showcases life on a small, low-mountain farm, whose residents were self-sufficient and also worked in mining, forestry, or as hand weavers. On display are historic structures such as the timber-framed building, the "Black Kitchen," and the breech-loading tiled stove. In addition, an educational trail illustrates the changing nature of forest use and the cultural landscape. The museum complements its offerings with changing special exhibitions, festivals, and markets.

This cycle path is also very nice to ride.
