Great little place - we were lucky enough to be able to see Maasluis during a town festival. I thought it was really worth seeing how the canals were included in the festival!

Gorgeous spot for late lunch on the way to the Harwich boat. Monsieur Paul had good food & a terrace.

Maassluis is located on the Nieuwe Waterweg, not far from the Maeslant storm surge barrier built there in 1997. In the small town center, on a small, artificial island, the "Great Church" (built in 1602) stands out. Maassluis has about 36,000 inhabitants.
