Why a stop here is worthwhile: The "stump" tower: Even from afar, you can see the striking tower without a spire. Due to a lack of funds in the 15th century, it remained at a height of 57 meters. This gives the church its unique, almost defiant silhouette. The view: During the season, you can climb the 317 steps of the tower. At the top, you'll be rewarded with a fantastic panorama of the star-shaped fortifications, the harbor, and the expansive polder landscape.
