残念ながら、施設は少し古くなっており、展示も教育的な面で最新とは言えません。いくつかの展示品は壊れており、写真は色あせ、水族館のガラスには苔が生えています。塔には2年以上前から工事用フェンスが設置されたままになっています。 内容は興味深いですが、もっと活かせるはずです。

Two colored church windows show the Christmas events and the resurrection. Another church window shows a motif for the opening of the border in 1989 - which was a special event.

From there you have a great view over the Elbtalaue. It's definitely worth it!

Unfortunately, you can't see anything of the Elbe from the cycle path here, as it runs on the side of the dike facing away from the Elbe and the Elbe runs quite a distance away from the dike here. In between there are meadows, some brackish water and the "Alte Elbe", an old, silted-up branch of the Elbe, which, except during floods, no longer has a connection to the Elbe. Therefore, the name "Elbeblick" doesn't really fit here. There are a lot of black kites here, and I've seen and photographed them here several times on my cycle tours. I suspect that Michael marked the wrong place as a "highlight", because his two photos don't show this place either, but rather look like the Elbe near Barförde / Wendewisch.
