The Kleiner Bornhorster See is a gravel pit lake in the eastern part of Oldenburg (Oldenburg), not far from the border with the Wesermarsch district, which runs only about 500 meters northeast. However, it is already outside of Oldenburg's dense urban development. The lake is located near the small village of Groß Bornhorst and the Oldenburg district of Etzhorn, both west of the lake. The Hunte River flows three kilometers south of it.

For Klaus's wonderful homemade cakes and the great atmosphere. And, of course, the East Frisian tea.

An ideal training area for runners, one lap is just over 3 km long. Great asphalt and diverse natural scenery.

The landscape windows (one in each Ammerland community) were intended to lure visitors to the 2002 State Garden Show away from the garden show grounds and into the parkland of Ammerland. This was symbolized by a work of art made of 5 window frames moving in the wind. The 5 landscape windows are all architecturally designed differently and have different themes. Unfortunately, there has been and continues to be destruction. The elaborately designed glass table in the landscape window (view of the painter walking towards Dangast) was unfortunately broken after a short time. 🥴

This café is something for the soul....you get grounded there from everyday life...pies and cakes are amazing...everything is homemade.Tea tastes excellent...not everyone can do that...and the whipped cream is a dream .The atmosphere is indescribably beautiful. The boss and staff are very friendly and down-to-earth and so uncomplicated - of course. You feel comfortable and wanted. I can't put my enthusiasm into words. Keep it up
