With its modern architecture, it forms a striking contrast to the historic surroundings of St. Lubentius Basilica and the old town. The bridge is part of the Cologne-Frankfurt high-speed rail line and is an impressive sight, especially when the high-speed trains whiz across it. A highlight for technology and architecture enthusiasts!

The Kurt-van-der-Burg Bridge connects Dietkirchen with the opposite bank of the Lahn River and is an important crossing for pedestrians and cyclists. It offers a beautiful view of the Basilica of St. Lubentius, which sits majestically on the rock above the Lahn.

The Walkmühle (fulling mill) in Limburg an der Lahn was originally a fulling mill, later converted into a dye mill. It is located in close proximity to the Obermühle (upper mill), a historic building now used as a restaurant. The waterwheel of the former fulling mill was restored in 2005 and now rotates on the Lahn River, next to the historic Obermühle (upper mill). The area around the Walkmühle and the Obermühle is a popular meeting place for locals and visitors. Especially in spring, you can enjoy the sunshine and experience the atmosphere of the historic mill landscape.

The steel Runkel Railway Bridge is part of the Lahn Valley Railway from Wetzlar to Nassau, on the Limburg-Weilburg section, and is located at kilometer marker 47. It was built in 1862 to carry the Lahn Valley Railway over the river near Runkel and has been renovated several times since then. The river piers and abutments date from the original bridge. The remainder of the current bridge was built in 1930 as part of modernization work. The Ennerich Railway Tunnel adjoins the bridge to the southwest. Before the bridge was built, there was no Lahn crossing at this location, and presumably neither a ferry nor a ford.

The beautiful, classic arched bridge is of great importance for people on the Lahn cycle path. It is of no importance for car traffic as it is not a through road.
