Very steep and washed out.

The "Rehbachtal" inn in the Großrehmühle district of Marktleugast was once a meeting point in the Franconian Forest holiday region. The Rehbachtal was often used as a starting point for the Mühlenweg, and guests raved about the good Franconian cuisine. But only a ruin remains of the former splendor. For family reasons, the tourist restaurant was closed at the end of the 1980s. The inn and the adjoining bed house were then briefly used as a home for immigrants and asylum seekers, and the property has been empty since the mid-1990s. On March 9, 2006, the roof of the main building collapsed under the weight of the snow. Now at least the annex seems to be inhabited again.

For decades, one of the many field crosses in the area stood on a meadow path near Hinterrehberg. It was exposed to wind and weather. When Bruno Tittel from Großrehmühle lovingly renovated the dilapidated piece in 2008 with voluntary work and found a new place for it on Mühlenweg, he came up with the idea of building a kind of chapel around the cross. After the base plate was cemented in 2010, the walls were built using half-timbering. The interior of the chapel is clad in wood and has been decorated with a small bell tower since 2016. Hikers can come here for a short prayer, the chapel is freely accessible at any time.

Hikers are welcome here. There are delicious snacks, especially the smoked fish, but the cheese platter is also a dream. Children won't get bored either: dogs, cats and chickens run around freely. There is also a playground.

A very varied and geologically special section of the trail
