The Hechtsee Lake Arena near Kufstein is a popular outdoor swimming and leisure area on Lake Hecht, beautifully combining nature, sports, and fine dining. The outdoor swimming area features a jetty, water boarding, and lawns for sunbathing. Dining: Restaurant and self-service restaurant, terrace overlooking the lake, offering dishes such as meat and fish, pizza, pasta, cakes, and ice cream. Sports: Beach volleyball, water volleyball, table tennis, and boat rentals are also available.

The lake's outflow passes over a weir and falls over a small waterfall into the Kieferbach stream. This outflow waterfall is the only outflow of Hechtsee.

The "Hechtsee Outflow - Station 11" viewpoint on the Kiefer Energy Hiking Trail is a particularly good place to view the waterfall. The outflowing water sometimes smells like rotten eggs due to hydrogen sulfide compounds in the deep water. This is unpleasant, but not hazardous to health and does not affect the quality of the water for swimming or fishing.

The Water Bastion in Kufstein is part of the medieval city fortifications, built between 1560 and 1563, and today serves as a popular destination for cycling tours. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Inn River and the surrounding countryside.
