A small deer enclosure behind the Kressenhof inn in the village center. Here you can still get authentic Franconian food without any frills, cooked just like your mother used to!

The church itself is worth a visit, but today - on Open Monument Day - we went up the tower. Difficult climb - around 150 steps on wooden stairs, some narrow and steep - but it's worth the effort: Great view!

Round border made of sandstone ashlar masonry with a renewed half-timbered superstructure with a gable roof, 17th/18th. century

The altar from the late 17th century has a predella with a free-sculpture crucifixion group. The sandstone pulpit probably dates from 1627 and has a sound cover with rocaille carving from after the middle of the 18th century. The baptismal font was created towards the end of the 15th century and has a setting probably from 1630. A wooden figure of St. Lawrence also dates from the end of the 15th century. A painting in a three-part, altar-like aedicula structure is marked with the year 1524. The Reformation painting shows an interesting depiction of the distribution of the Lord's Supper by Luther and Melanchthon to the Protestant princes. An epitaph painting was created in 1693. Among the numerous epitaphs, the one for Pastor Neff († 1512) is particularly noteworthy. At the end of the choir there is a Mount of Olives housing with faded wall paintings; the rustic figures were created around 1500. The organ is the work of E. F. Above Roßtal you will find the freely accessible works of art next to the hiking trail.

Fantastic church both inside and the church courtyard. The hall crypt (1025-1042) is also highly recommended.
