A particular highlight in Mellrichstadt is the historic town fortification. Dating from the 14th and 15th centuries, the fortifications, with their numerous towers, are largely preserved to this day. Only in a few places have they been interrupted or built over over time.

The Kirschgarten recreation area invites you to take a relaxing break. Around the small lake, you'll find a Kneipp facility with foot and arm baths, a playground, and a ping-pong table. The Kirschgarten grill, open seasonally, provides refreshments. Events such as summer festivals and stops on the Streutal beer garden tour are also regularly held here.
