Impressive summit cross on the Holy Mountain of the Franconians! ⛰️

Really nice and quiet in the morning. From 12pm onwards it is often very busy.

The summit cross is on a radio mast. The circular trail leads directly past it.

After the closure Only a short section of the railway line remained in the city of Bad Neustadt to serve the rail connection of the adjacent industrial plant of BSH Hausgeräte. In the early 1990s, an asphalted footpath and cycle path was laid on 16.1 kilometers of the former railway line - not in Bad Neustadt and in Schönau - which forms the majority of the Brendtal cycle path.
