Although it's not part of the hiking trail, you should definitely walk across it and enjoy the Schmeie river.

A beautiful, interesting route, with great scenery and a lot of variety. This is cycling for pleasure.

The Schmiecha, called Schmeie from the municipal border with Straßberg, is a river in the Swabian Alb. After a south-southeast course of over 41 km, it flows from the left into the upper Danube between Inzigkofen and its hamlet Dietfurt in the Sigmaringen district of Baden-Württemberg. Here you can always let your gaze wander into nature while gliding comfortably along the bike path.

The charcoal burner's festival will take place here from July 8th to 16th, 2022. There will be food every day from 12 noon. The charcoal kiln will be set up on July 8th and broken open on July 16th. Then the charcoal can be bought. On July 9th there will be a cyclists' meeting at the barbecue area and on Sunday July 10th there will be a Schmeientaler hiking meeting.
