This is where the Neckarsteig adventure began for me and others. I personally decided to go in the direction of Bad Wimpfen to Heidelberg. This is just as easy to walk.

The Salinenpark is located on the site of the former Rappenau salt factory. After the saltworks were closed in 1972 and the boiling houses were demolished in 1973, a park with extensive lawns and trees was built in their place. The Monopteros is located at the entrance to the Salinengarten, in the immediate vicinity of the "Kurcafé", at the upper end of Salinenstraße and Weinbrennerstraße.
