Otherwise, hikers will have to be content with a willow and an old lamppost - and a sign describing the former use of the meadow. 😊

Skaters Meadow is where the Victorian toffs came to skate. It still has the original gas lamp which is quite interestimg. Apart from that it is a muddy if not waterlogged field... 4/10

In the winter months guided tours of 45 mins only going every 30 mins (selected times only) and only the ground floor is a accessible.

Easy walk from the National Trust owned Hall and Stable buildings. Great views looking back towards the Hall, and on a good day, back towards Royston

Relaxing at its best. It is self service, thus park your bike, get your afternoon tea (or other refreshment) at the bar and then find one of the widely spaced spots under the trees in the Orchard.

Here is a beautifully situated tea room in the middle of an orchard. Once a well-known meeting place for many Cambridge intellectuals, it is now used by walkers and families. Sitting outside under fruit trees, birds chirping and squirrels crawling in the trees, just relaxing.
