Always beautiful. The view of the small lakes and the view towards the beach. Be careful when planning! We wanted to do a circular route and use part of the mountain bike trail. However, because it had rained heavily beforehand, a good portion of the mountain bike trail was impassable. Wellington boots probably wouldn't have helped either. So we returned and used the standard route (see also our route).

Today, Pælebjerg is a very popular and beautiful destination, offering fantastic views of the sea, Fanø Klitplantage with its small marshes, and rolling heathland. North of the mountain lies Pælebjerg Lake, a remnant of the sound that is said to have divided the island in two at the beginning of history and was called Elses Gab (Gulf). The lake is one of the very few natural lakes on Fanø. In late summer, when the water lilies are in bloom, the small, beautiful forest lake is a beautiful sight. There are also several beach lakes, most of which dry out in the summer. The area around Pælebjerg also includes a small lake, which is particularly beautiful when the water lilies are in bloom. Nearby is the forest playground and the marked mountain bike trail. There are also many marked hiking trails in the area around Pælebjerg.
