Another shipyard that works according to old methods

Through the trees, you can see the old bridge that leads over Kolding Fjord into Hindsgavl Dyrehave Nature Park. Today, traffic is routed over the neighboring, newer bridge.

In front of you, you can see the large ramparts on the meadow west of the current Hindsgavl Castle. These are the remains of the original Hindsgavl Castle, probably built by King Erik Klipping as a royal castle around 1260.

The bridge has a total length of 1178 meters. It consists of the 825 m long river bridge and two approach bridges. The river bridge is a steel truss structure with five spans of lengths 137.5 m, 165 m, 220 m, 165 m and 137.5 m.
