Once a swing bridge, the lifting bridge was installed in 1988. Spanning a tranquil spot on the Basingstoke Canal in North Warnborough, the bridge can be lifted to allow narrow boats through. It's the only lifting bridge on the canal and you can find it just south west of Odiham Castle. If you're lucky, you might even see it in action.

The Church of All Saints in Alton, Hampshire, is a Grade II Listed Building built in 1873-4 and designed by Frederick Charles Dyer of London in the Early English style. Not to be confused with the 12th-century Church of All Saints located in Alton Priors, Wiltshire. William Dyer gave the site (valued at £150) and stone from his Selborne quarry for the building of the church. Building works commenced on Easter Monday 1873. The foundation stone was laid on 18th July 1873, by Sir Roundell Palmer (First Earl of Selborne) whilst he was Lord Chancellor. The works were completed and the church dedicated on 23rd December 1874 by Bishop Harold Browne. The vestry was added in 1878 on the north side of the nave and the south west tower and spire added in 1881. A well executed and unaltered Early English style High Victorian parish church of good quality stonework with impressive tower capped with broach spire which is a local landmark and complete interior fittings."
