During the Christmas season, the city is beautifully decorated, and there's a small Christmas market on the Lavant River. There are also several smaller markets in the surrounding villages.

Here, it's time to conserve your energy! The climb to Weinebene is long and stretches at a steady but steady gradient (average of around six percent). It gets particularly tough in the middle section. On the plus side, there are magnificent views of the southwest Styrian hills – pure motivation!

Always beautiful, there is something special in every season. A walk along the Lavant is highly recommended.

Once in late summer, the legendary "Zeggern" is held in the castle park. A must-have if you are in Gleinstätten.
