The St. Patrick's Church in Hollenegg was first documented in 1735. It is dedicated to St. Patrick, the national saint of Ireland.

The "St. Joseph's Church" found here is dedicated to Saint Joseph, the foster father of Jesus Christ. Like Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, he is a man on the threshold of the Old and New Testaments. Joseph came from the House of David, one of the twelve tribes of Israel. He was a carpenter by trade and the fiancé of the Mother of God Mary. The feast day of Saint Joseph in the calendar of saints is March 19th, and the church also celebrates the feast of "Joseph the Worker" on May 1st.

Very personable and friendly! We had vegetarian Kaiserschmarrn and cheese bread (both very good), and there is more choice for carnivores.

A popular destination for bike enthusiasts from the region. There is also a delicious fried chicken station nearby with a wonderful view of western Styria.
