The Cole Green underpass allows the NCN61 cycle trail to pass under the busy A414.

Compact gravel and dirt which can be done on road bikes if not raining. Ok if it's wet, but if it's raining or just after a rain, it can be tricky on slick tires as it can gets slippery.

Leave the path here and follow the short road toward The Cowper Arms for a refreshing beverage and bite to eat.

Great place to exit and go through Letty Green across the A414 down Panshanger Lane and into Panshanger Park which takes you through fields woods and by lakes to Hertford.

Originally part of the Pangshanger House, this is the part of the original stately home that remains visible.

Looks a good place for a stop over once the lockdown is lifted, car park and kids play area available.

The Cole Green station was part of the Cole Green Way which is a rail trail which runs east-west from the eastern edge of Welwyn Garden City to Hertford in Hertfordshire

A very nice pub in a lovely location. Great place for a pint and something to eat. Very nicely presented inside and out. Plenty of tables outside for when the weather is hot. It's also situated on a cycle path and, as such, is a great stop off.

The Well The stone structure is the former village well, now sealed up but with the remains of the metal pulley wheel and support still in place.

A nice quiet place to rest, drink or grab a quick bite before heading off
