This enchanted place is located in the barren stone landscape of the Wilder Platte. One inevitably wonders whether the well, which is located in a rock niche and filled with water, is natural or was created here by humans. The latter is probably the case. There is an article about it in the menu of the Volkzeiner Hütte. So if you are interested, you will find it there.

The view is simply overwhelming. But please be careful: the last few meters to the summit are quite airy. You should be free from giddiness and surefooted.

The Speikbodenhütte can be reached from the valley on foot or by car. The hut is therefore very suitable as a starting point for relaxing hikes, e.g. to the Gritz lakes. The ascent by car is a bit adventurous over bumpy gravel roads.
