It is open exactly when the pub 500m away in Tuckenhay is open - the same goes for the kitchen. Both pubs and their menus are very similar.

Follaton Arboretum is a managed area at the South Devon District Council offices. It's open to the public with a lovely area of trees, a network of footpaths and statues and benches dotted around.

This path which links Totnes and Dartington is part of the NCN route 2. A long-distance cycle and other user path which links Dover with St Austal. This section is gravelled and pleasant, avoiding the roads and following a flat ish woodland trail.

North Wood on the Dartington Estate is a great mixed woodland with some specimen trees including awesome Redwoods. Lots of nice trails to explore.

A traditional 17th century country pub that serves great food, beer and snacks. You can also stay here in one of the single, double or family rooms (all en-suite). Food is normal pub classics with locally sourced ingredients. Open 12:00 - 23:00 every day. Food served 12:30 - 14:30 & 18:00 - 20:30.

The stepping stones are the last crossing point of the Harbourne River before it enters the tidal Bow Creek and flows into the Dart estuary. They are used on the John Musgrove Heritage Trail as well as for joining footpaths and avoiding having to walk upstream to the road bridge in Bow.

A small village close to but elevated above the River Dart. It's a pretty place with a 15th century church and a good pub.

The Sharpham Estate is managed by the Sharpham Trust. An educational charity set up with a desire to build a more mindful, compassionate and environmentally sustainable world. You can go on retreats and courses set in the impressive estate on the banks of the Dart. Sharpham also make great cheese on site and have a vineyard, the wine is made locally and both wine and cheese are available in Totnes and other local shops.

Totnes Castle is a classic Norman motte and bailey. It's perched on a hill above the town where it would have commanded the area and the important inland harbour of the River Dart. The castle was originally an earth and timber construction. The first stone castle was built in the 13th century and then re-built as you see it today. Managed by English Heritage there is an entry fee if you're not a member but the views from the walls are well worth it.

This 14th century fortress on a motte was built to strengthen the 11th century castle and the earthen ramparts. The ramparts offer a beautiful view of the entire valley of the Dart
