This church was not dedicated to one of the many people revered as saints, but to the archangel MICHAEL. The name (from the Hebrew language) means "Who is like God?" He is often depicted - in paintings or as a statue - with a flaming sword, occasionally also a lance. Michael is - together with Raphael and Gabriel, and occasionally Uriel is also included - one of the three or four archangels who (according to human belief) occupy the highest rank in the heavenly hierarchy of angelic beings. Their common feast day in the calendar of saints is September 29th.

Yes its a tad on the pricey side, but a good place to stop, indoor cycle rack, food quality always good.

Went in on a cycle tour at the end of a long day - no pasta on the menu, no pump to check tyre pressures, no oil can to lube the chain, no help refilling water bottles. It's a bike themed cafe with high prices, but that's all.

One of the best cycling cafes in Devon for riding out onto Dartmoor, Cafe 3 Sixty has secure indoor bike parking and a really extensive tasty menu. Coffee and cake or something more substantial, their friendly staff are quick and efficient so you'll be fuelled up in no time. Cosy Tea garden in the beautiful village of Teigngrace, snuggled between the Stover Canal and the Teigngrace Railway. Access is via the Stoverway path - no car parking so you need to walk or cycle. Some indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating which is the best way to enjoy the delights of cakes, savouries, tea and coffee

Ventiford Basin is the Northern terminus of the canal. Clay from the local area was brought here overland, loaded onto barges and sailed down the canal to the Jetty Marsh sea lock. Depending on the state of the tide, barges would then travel along the Whitelake Channel, past Town Quay in Newton Abbot and down the River Teign to be trans-shipped to larger vessels at the docks in Teignmouth. Long wait for food which was top end of the price range for a café of this nature. Acoustics in the building make it very noisy. Lots of pictures of cycling related activity while you’re waiting. There is a café About 30 yards from this one on the corner of Newton Road Which I would recommend above this one

Originally built to transport clay and granite, the Stover Canal is an important part of the local history. While the canal is no longer used and empty of water, sections of it are used as recreation trails and it's being carefully restored and cared for by a local community group. The aim is to refill sections and return it, in part, to its glory days.

Having spent the best part of the last 100 years as a garage and workshop, the owners of Cafe 3 Sixty have transformed the building into a wonderful spot for hungry cyclists and passersby yet retained much of its history in the renovation. An independent cafe, you’ll find a heavy bike theme here and you can even park your two-wheeled steed inside. Outside seating allows for dogs although they’re not permitted indoors due to the open kitchen.

Great breakfast. I’d recommend the pancakes 🥞

Excellent stop for a cyclist in need of good coffee, cake, meals and water. Secure indoor bike parking rack and outdoor parking too.
