Weston Turville Reservoir is a beautiful oasis of water situated just outside Wendover in Aylesbury Vale. The route around the lake is very scenic and peaceful, you'll likely spot some of our waterbird on your way around too.

Wendover Woods is a gorgeous area of woodland situated on the northern edge of the Chiltern Hills near Aylesbury. You'll be running through forest trails surrounded by towering canopies and an understory of wild bluebells, if visiting in the spring months.

As you climb along the ridgeway toward Wendover Woods, you can enjoy some sublime views across the magnificent Chiltern Hills in all directions.

Very long climb but worth the effort

Beautiful woodland along this stretch of the canal with plenty of wildlife to see, especially from spring through to autumn.

Wendover is a lovely little town. A great place to rest your feet with a coffee, cup of tea or a celebratory drink to finish the hike. A good place to gather some supplies too, if needed.

Here you can get help and all information about the park, nice staff. The ticket machine is also located here, which you should definitely visit before leaving the park.

A forest trail that follows The Ridgeway long-distance trail and climbs gently uphill; shared with bikes and horses.
